You start off with a simple jump, keep jumping then fall back and land on you back. Keep practising by jumping and falling back onto you back and bouncing up again. After your fine at doing that fall back and when you land on your back kick yourself over to land on your knees or crouched on you feet, (so that's kind of like a rolly pollly). Once you can do that fine and with confidence you can get back on you feet. start jumping and do a backflip but don't land on your feet, land on you belly, once you can do all of that by youself try the backflip.

you just relax and get a really high jump and then bend your back backwards. don't stop bending or you'll fall on your neck and die. try to land on your feet or knees.
Also set with your arms (straight up, by your ears, thisll take a while to get the hang of) and then tuck really hard, you can probably get a spotter for that if you go to a gym during open gym if you dont take gymnastics. You should be fine just trying it though
First, you have to trust your self enough to flip over backwords. Just start out by jumping backword and landing on your back. Once you feel safe doing that, you can then try jumping and flipping backwords, but try to land on your hands and knees, or your stomach. Once you feel comfertable landing on your hands and knees, you can then try jumping and flipping backwords and landing on your feet. You probably wont get the flip down your first few try's, but the trick is to bounce as high as you can on your last jump. Once you start praticing, you will find that different combinations of how-high-you-bounce and how-fast-you-spin-backword will give you different looking backflips. The backflip will become super e-z once you get it down, and it is one of the funnest tricks to perform.
on a trampoline
It depends. If you are on a trampoline obviously you can't do a wall flip! But back flips are easiest on trampolines! If you are doing a back flip on the ground it is much harder. If you are doing a back flip of a house or shed, it is easier than on ground but harder than doing one on a trampoline. So it all depends on the back flip. But you should try and see, while someone spots you if you don't know how, which bac kflip you would like do. And try to learn how to do a wall flip, if you haven't already, and try it. Then do all the back flips, and do a wall flip with each one.

it takes a lot of practice. your better off starting on a trampoline first then get use to it. the way i did it, i through my whole body backwards and did it by accident :P
I've seen a five foot trampoline before. If you mean those tiny round ones, then there are extremely few moves: just straight jumps or maybe tuck jumps. Anything else is too difficult and/or dangerous. You'll be a lot happier with a 15 ft trampoline.
double back flip
when doing a back flip there is not a certain height for it you just literally jump up and tuck back and hope you land it you might have to try a couple of times. but if you can try to practice on a trampoline or on sand dunes if you are near a beach then give it a go.

Can you do the back flip first of all?? If you can then you shouldn't be afraid to do them. I taught myself how to do a back flip. I guess i just had a lot of bravery and courage. If you are scared of doing the back flip on hard ground then.... I taught myself on the trampoline. Then i started doing it on my mattress. I had this really soft but firm carpet and i covered it with pillows. After i grew confident i took all the pillows off and started doing it on the plain carpet. Then after i got the courage i just started doing it on the ground.
