Well many people usually stay at home and do nothing and eat alot. Soon after they start to get tired and get fat. Sports is a way for people to use energy and burn calories. We eat so we can use the calories for energy, but usually people dont use up all the calories they consume per day and the body converts the calories into fat. You should do sports to burn all the calories you consume per day or you will get sick. People need to exercise more. and not starve themselfs. People think if they dont eat they will get skinny but what they need to do is burn more calories than what they consume per day so that they use up fat. But sports is a good way to socialize, use some of your competitive energy and burn fat. I hope this answers your question
