The left hand should be at or near the top of the stick while the right hand is about midway down, towards the end of the grip. The left hand controls the direction the stick is angled e.g. whether it is face-forward or edgeways. The right controls the position of the stick, for example if it is to the side of the player or to the front. The left hand should not be released when dribbling as it turns the stick, while the right only needs to guide it; this hand should be loose enough that it does not turn with the stick but should still be tight enough to control it.
if you have a left stick your left hand goes low ( not to low ) on the stick and your right hand on the top of the hockey stick, for a right stick it's the opposite of holding a left stick, to tell if you are a lefty or a righty with a hockey stick try this both ways with a right and a left stick to see what is more comfortable for you.
On the hockey stick, you have the shaft (the part you hold), and the blade (the part that touches the ice). In the blade, you have the Heel, which is the part connected to the shaft. Then you have the toe, which is the tip of the blade, or the end which does not connect to the shaft.

A goalie which holds his blocker and hockey stick on the left side and his glove (trapper) on the right side is known as a Full Right goalie. The stick that the goalies hold in the left hand is a full right goalie stick.
Weight is fairly irrelevant when comes to choosing a stick. If you have to ask what size to use, you are obviously new to the sport and you should be looking for a stick that comes to your waist when you hold it vertically on the ground.
Since 1975 all players must hit right handed in polo. The rule was changed for rider safety. Hockey is the only game played by righthanders, but even lefthanders play hockey ,but they will have to use their right hands.
You hold a floorball stick much like a hockey stick but insted of putting your together they are more apart (about 40cm).In floorball it's OK to play one-handed, so right-handed players should ideally use their right hand to hold the top of the stick for maximum control when they playone-handed. However if you play Field Hockey or if you are left-handed then it'sOK to keep your left hand at the top of the handle. Either way is legal. If the player holds the top of the stick in their right hand then a 'left' stick is required (because the players forehand shot will be on the left side of their feet) and vice verse. Sorry if this is confusing but it's which side is your forehand/blade is on which decides the type of stick.
Gloves are a piece of equipment to use in hockey, provided they are suitable for the purpose. The two main glove types are either for protection or grip. Gloves worn for grip often cover the whole of the palm and fingers on both hands in order to give the best hold on a stick in wet conditions. A protective glove is usually worn only on the left hand and helps stop a turf from grazing the hand during a sweep or trap, or from being seriously injured (I have seen a man's finger almost severed by a hockey stick, so they are worth considering).
Yes. The blade (the ends that goes towards the ice) is curved to either towards the left or the right, depending on how the player prefers to hold the stick.
In ice hockey you should have a helmet (with a face mask), mouthgard, neck guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, shingaurds, and skates. You should also have hockey socks, garter belt (or something to hold up your socks), and a hockey jersey. Along with a hockey stick (FYI you should probably tape your stick with hockey tape.) Hope this was helpful to you.
Tricks in Field Hockey differ in so many ways but in general all tricks and skills have to be practiced before they can be done to a good standard. Some tricks or skills take longer to do than others depending on the complexity of the trick, as mentioned before it is all down to practice with regards to mastering the skill. Field Hockey Tricks all come down to whether you put your mind to it or not. If not, you can't think. If you do, Great!! Top left goal score: edge the ball on top of the stick and do a sweep. Top right goal score: " " Bottom left and right goal score: Sweep with power!! Sweeping: Drag your stick back and and hold it at the top. And bring th estick forward with force.
you hold down L and rotate the analogue stick away from the person you are trying to avoid on the field and you will do trick/skill
