It is called a 'Kia' or a 'spirit shout.' There are several reasons for it. It helps in focusing the power of the strike on the opponent. It also tightens up the muscles of the body, particularly the core muscles. This does two things. It forces more power into the strike. And it protects the internal organs with hardened muscles.

I'm not sure what you are specifically looking for. Because the human body is a pretty standard item, it has specific types of movements and the joints and muscles work the same way for everyone. Knowing how a Boyd moves means that you know how to block it and how to leverage these to cause pain or damage. A straight punch or kick, basic blocks and movements are fairly consistent across the martial arts. Even many of the joint locks are seen across the board.

Yes. It is more like MMA, excluding the submission holds. The punches are similar to boxing. Generally, any martial artist can become a Kick Boxer.
Yes, he is and many others are also. He performed in New Japan before coming to America and used a lot of martial arts. Honestly, Kenzo Suzuki isn't. I have spoke to Kenzo before. Yes he has came from Japan but he was just a Wrestler...Not a Martial Arts specialist. Wrestlers like Ultimo Dragon, Tajiri, and Akio are the ones who could be classified as Martial Artist. Kenzo is more of a Heaveyweight to be a Martial Arts specialist. The only thing of the such that he can perform well-ly would be a Super Kick or Buzz-Saw kick.
