Honestly, women can participate in gymnastics when they're over 20, but it is pretty uncommom today. In a majority of cases, the gymnast has been in the sport for almost their entire life, which also means that they have probably had their fair share of injuries. However, some olympic gymnasts in their 20's have had great succes( like Svetlana Khorkina and Oxsana Chusovitina).
The key to gymnastics is flexibility, and a love for gymnastics just go up there try a couple tricks and see if you are a natural gymnast. I know i am. It also takes mental strength. If you think you cant do it, then you wont be able to.
stamina helps you in gymnastics because if you are tired or unhealthy you cant do as well to achieve goals
I don't understand that rule either- and I've been competing for 8 years. Apparently it is distracting to the judges- that's what I have been told.
it depends on how talented you are there is nothing someone can or cant do.
Gymnastics is a good sport for you because you cant just be phisically fit you also have to be mentally fit.It also helps you be more flexibal so yes.
Its not really important in life to learn gymnastics if you dont want to. i've been doing gymnastics for two years and it takes a lot of hard work. you cant just go the first day and expect to land your full! I have been doing it for two years and just got my layout last month! But if your flexabile and have some sort of upper body strenght, it might be a little eaiser to learn some moves:) hope i helped!!
because boys do other stuff than the girls
No, but practice practice practice (unless you have a disability preventing you then you may be able to compete in specific events)
