Margaret Abbott of the USA is to date the only winner of Women's Golf(in Paris 1900). It has not been competed since. She told people she won because the other competitors tried to play in high heels and tight skirts. She died in 1955 never having known she had competed in the Olympics, something that happened to many competitors at that time.
