Greatness! 1961 George Brashier, eqiupment manager, created it. Packers had logos before but the first and only one on the helmet is the G for greatness. It's a trademarked "G" and the universities that use it have permission from the Packers.
The GM stands for general manager. He is in charged of drafting new players, working to trade players or working with players going to Free Agency and lastly to work with the head coach. The current GM for the Green Bay Packers is Ted Thompson.

The Green Bay Packers are from Wisconsin. It's north of Illinois and east of Minnesota.
The Green Bay Packers are still the Green Bay Packers.
Ted Thompson was the general manager of the Green Bay Packers on the day Aaron Rodgers was drafted. As general manager, Ted Thompson is responsible for making the final decision on who the Packers will draft. The recounting of those who were in the draft room on draft day indicate that as Aaron Rodgers fell and it became apparent that he would be available when Green Bay picked, Thompson went around the room asking scouts and everyone to to confirm their opinions on Aaron Rodgers. Thompson supposedly did this because although the Packers had scouted Rodgers, they had not done so extensively because they had not expected him to be available when they drafted.
