If you mean Dal Maxvill, probably not. He was a good fielder, but not much of a hitter. No power at all.
I'm guessing here, but I give myself a 70% accuracy rate... Ray Lankford ~ a non-MLB Hall-of-Famer, but nevertheless, he spent the entire decade of the 90's as a rock-solid outfielder for the Redbirds, ruling the outfield with grace and hustle, and with a sweet left-side swing. That's my guess...
123. The Center/Left fielder Ray Lankford hit 238 home runs in his 14 year career with the Cardinals (1990-00, 04), and Padres (01, 02). Lankford hit the most home runs in Busch Stadium then any other player, including in his final at bat with a pinch hit home run.
No baseball has officialy been hit out of New Busch Stadium which opened in 2006. At least not during a regular Major League Game. Here is al little bit of history. Back in 1986 a player by the name of Mike Laga hit the only baseball ever to be hit out of Old Busch Stadium (1966-2005). Although it was a foul ball it actually left the stadium and landed in a flower bed just outside the first base side of the stadium. The Cardinals were playing the Mets that night and the fans gave Laga ( much to his embarresment) a standing ovation. How is that for a baseball town.
