Metal most definitely, hence why Metal bats are not used beyond the college level. MLB studs are far too powerful to use anything but Wooden bats.

What hits farther wood baseball bat or metal?

Aluminum bats hit the ball farther. Every study that has been done on this issue has concluded that aluminum bats out perform wooden bats. The ball leaves the bat at a higher speed and travels farther.

What bat hit the ball further?

A metal bat hits the ball further than a wooden bat because metal is harder than wood.

If a 2kg metal ball hits a 1kg wooden ball at the speed of 3ms and the metal ball continues at a speed of 1ms what is the momentum of the metal ball?

Since momentum equals mass times velocity, the metal ball's momentum is 2N/s (Newton seconds).

What hits a ball faster metal or wooden bat?

I'd say a metal bat because wood would absorb more energy than metal.

What baseball bat hits farther metal aluminium or wood?

metal

Which baseball bat vibrates more a wooden bat or a metal bat?

its soooooo metal. it vibrates if its fast piched because it is flexible, the wood will braek because it is not. & it is also hollow and as the ball hits it the ball makes it vibrate.

Why will a ball go farther when hit by a metal or wooden bat?

Hi I am a girl and my brothers play all the time! So trust my answer: Wooden: A wooden bat will not hit as far as a metal bat because of 2 reasons. One is that they brake very easy. The other reason is that wood has a weaker effect than metal. Metal: A metal bat is most trusted everywhere. Metal is so strong. When something hits off metal, it will go very very far! Mostly my brothers use Nike or a Combat. Hope this helps! Contact me any time on my email with any questions. Kiera303

Which is more likely to be hit by lightning a metal or a wooden boat why?

metal because lightning hits metal mostly

How is softball related to science?

because when the player hits the ball of the bat the inertia on the ball will go out farther.

What bat hits farthur a wooden or metal bat?

a wooden bat hits better becaue the way a mental bat hits it has that loud hit and the louder it is the farter is will go

Why can you hit a ball harder with a metal bat?

because a metal bat has give so when the ball hits it the bat flex's and the ball slings off harder

Which bat a big barrel aluminum bat or a regular aluminum bat hits the ball farther?

What bat hits farther the Triton or catalyst?

the Triton hits farther.

Does aluminum or wood bat hit ball farther?

An aluminum bat hits further because it is hollow. That's why you see the pros using wooden bats because with their skill level in hitting, every clean hit would be hit out.

What bat hits the farthest a corked bat or a aluminum?

Aluminum. Corking a bat reduces the collision. A ball travels further with an uncorked wooden than a corked wooden.

Does a baseball go further hit with metal or wood?

I just did a Science update on baseball in my labratory.I am a professional Scientist and my studies have shown that a metal bat hits farther.

Did an aluminum bat or wooden bat hit the farthest?

Wooden BatSupposedly, the wooden bat due to the weight of the ash wood used to make bat as opposed to the aluminum. However, it's not really the bat, it's the speed of the thrown ball and the speed with which the bat makes contact. Ask a baseball coach or a physics professor for more info.Usually a wooden bat, but aluminum bats hit faster, which is why I was almost decapitated before my time a few weeks ago.they think the aluminum would hit farther because a wooden bat would not hold up as goodthat's right an aluminum bat hits so far that the major leagues don't even use them trust meAluminum bat hits faster but i also think a aluminum bat would hit farther too because the aluminum bat is lighter and the faster you swing the farther it goes.

Does a wooden bat hit the ball further than a aluminum bat?

No. An aluminum bat hits the ball much farther than wood. The main reason why MLB players use wood is for the protection of the infielders ie. the infielders will have more reaction time with batters using wood bats do to the lower velocity.Hope I helped.

If a 2kg metal ball hits a 1kg wooden ball at a speed of 3ms and the metal ball continues at a speed of 1ms how fast is the wooden ball going?

This question is all about kinetic energy. Kinetic Energy = 0.5 * mass * velocity^2 Firstly we must assume that no energy is lost to heat and sound, so that kinetic energy is constant throughout the contact. The initial kinetic energy is all in the 2kg metal ball. Using the above formula we find that the energy is 0.5 * 2 * 3^2 = 0.5 * 2 * 9 = 9 J The final kinetic energy must be the same (because of our assumption). The metal ball has a kinetic energy of 0.5 * 2 * 1^2 = 1 J, so the wooden ball must have the remainder, which is 8 J. 8 = 0.5 * 1 * velocity^2 velocity^2 = 16 velocity = square root of 16 velocity = 4 m/s

What hits a ball farther wood or aluminum bats?

I actually depends how good you are. If there is a kid with a wooden/aluminum, he/she would still not be able to hit father that a professional baseball player with a wooden/aluminum bat. The governing bodies for various levels of baseball (high school, college, youth leagues, etc.) have set performance standards for metal bats so that, under controlled test conditions, metal bats perform nearly the same as wood bats. Therefore, given all the same conditions, a ball would travel the same distance whether hit by a metal or a wood bat. However, in an actual game, batters swing at varying speeds and other conditions may be different, as well, resulting in different distances for hit balls.

Does the shot clock reset if the ball hits the bottom of the rim?

If it touches any part of the metal rim it resets.

An astronaut throws a ball on the moon you throw an identical ball on earth using the same force which ball will travel a greater distance before it hits the ground?

the one on the moon will go farther due to the lack of air resistance and gravity.

Why can a batter hit a pitched baseball further than a ball tossed in the air by the batter?

A ball that is pitched has a greater velocity and a greater momentum so when the bat hits the ball and transfers energy to the ball, the greater the original momentum the more force that the ball will travel with causing it to go farther.
