I'm just guessing here, as I am not very savvy in the world of sports. Logically I would think that the difference is due to the fact that wooden bats are solid and metal bats aren't. metal is hollow and wood is not I just hit the ball and run, I'm not really the scientific type so I will try to explain it the best I can. So think about it. Knocking on wood sounds different than knocking on metal so I guess it is because they are different materials? Maybe?
Hi I am a girl and my brothers play all the time! So trust my answer:
Wooden: A wooden bat will not hit as far as a metal bat because of 2 reasons. One is that they brake very easy. The other reason is that wood has a weaker effect than metal.
Metal: A metal bat is most trusted everywhere. Metal is so strong. When something hits off metal, it will go very very far! Mostly my brothers use Nike or a Combat.
Hope this helps! Contact me any time on my email with any questions. Kiera303
It all depends on if the bat is bbcor certified compared to open rules on bat qualifications. bbcor bats are made with strict rules not allowing it to be technologically engineered to out perform wood bats. Although, metal is generally stronger than wood the new bbcor bats have decreased hr productions dramatically in college and hs Baseball.
the metal bat
A metal bat will hit the hardest because metal is 85% stronger than a wooden bat.
The aluminum bat would go farther than the wooden bat. It will go farther because the aluminum bat is much lighter than the wooden bat.
it goes farther when hit by a metal bat
metalMetal baseball bats will most likely go farther. A lot of people believe that wood bats hit farther than BBCOR though
Metal most definitely, hence why Metal bats are not used beyond the college level. MLB studs are far too powerful to use anything but Wooden bats.
metal is actually harder and that is the reason the MLB does not use metal bats because they propel the ball at a significantly faster speed. - Clay
Metal bats hit the ball further which is why at unprofessional levels of baseball they use metal but when you get to the MLB you have to use wood.
Wooden bat absorb more energy than metal bat during the contact with object.
metal also known as aluminum
Wooden
Aluminum because you can stuff it with newspaper and marbles.
