Get in about third or forth or fith place at the start and then gradually kreep up to the front. a better way is to to do alot of sprint work outs ot increase speed and agility. do like 100, 200, 400, repeats. and do hills like sprint up it... then in race u get out in front and try to keep a good pace.. and try really hard to sprint last 100.
