a medley relay is when there are four people in an event, say the event is 4 x 100 ,each person will do 100 m

From MY experience, and what my coaches said, buildups are accelerations. Start slow and build up to a full sprint.

Yup. No matter what you do in track, there will always be a lot of running. Distance has the most running though. Sprints, you mostly just well... sprint :) Its lots of fun though
