Professional paintball teams buy and sell their spots into the pro spots available in certain leagues such as the NPPL and PSP. If you think you have what it takes to join a pro paintball team, get in contact with the team manager or coach by visiting their website or going to pbnation.com and asking around. There really is no 'form' one fills out to become a professional player. Teams usually allow tryouts for players they think have a chance.
not only that but generally you are put onto a practice squad if even selected to be part of the team, they will not just throw you into the big leagues without really proving yourself

Professional paintball players have no true salary. There are very few pro paintball players that don't need a second job to support themselves. They make most of their money from sponsorships and endorsements. edit: most work for there sponsor's.. and unless your ollie lang you wont make much money playing paintball.
The same as any other professional athlete, very slim, and only for the very best. Paintball as a business is not very good in a recession, because though it is fun, it is technically a luxury.
