1925
1926
Last year against Texas.
Nobody. Dartmouth won the National Championship that year. Alabama claimed a share of it years later, using a retroactive system.
Only one time has this happened. In 2009, the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated Texas in the BCS National Championship game with their Heisman winner Mark Ingram. In 2010, the Auburn Tigers defeated Oregon on a last second field goal. Auburn's quarterback Cam Newton, won the Heisman that year. So only the state of Alabama has ever been able to win both the Heisman and national championship back to back. TCU and Texas A&M won the National Championship back to back years in 1938 and 1939 respectively. TCU's Davey O'Brien won the Heisman in 1938, but Texas A&M failed have a Heisman winner that next year.
That was not the 2010 national championship matchup. If you're talking about the Iron Bowl rivalry game between Auburn and Alabama, then Auburn defeated Alabama in that game last year. The 2010 NCAA National Championship Game in football was won by Auburn against Oregon.
In 1999
Alabama has never won the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. Their best showing was the Elite 8 in 2004.
there wasn't any championship games that year
1998
Consecutive Heisman winners from the same state but different teams were 1992 Gino Torretta from Miami and 1993 Charlie Ward from Florida State. You can thank Alabama in 1992 from keeping Torretta from the national championship. Ward took Florida State to the championship in 1993 when Auburn went undefeated in the regular season but was on probation.
1963
No, he did not.
