Box lacrosse goalies do wear leg pads made of hard plastic material like a big shin guards, in field lacrosse goalies can only wear soccer style shin guards
Girls lacrosse players wear a mouthguard and eye goggles. Thier uniform consists of a jersey, usually a tank top, and a skirt with spandex underneath. Boys lacrosse players wear a lacrosse helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, adn rib pads. Girls goalies wear a helmet, a chestguard, padded pants, shinguards, and gloves. Boys goalies wear the same.
Goalies don't have to wear arm pads because they don't need to (unless the league u play in requires them, but that is rare) and the pads limit they're range of motion. But really the goalie himself makes the decision as to wear them or not and some like and some dislike.
They wear pads in lacrosse because they could get hurt.
yes you can wear hockey elbow pads for lacrosse
No, goalies wear the same color jersey. They have to or else people will think they are from a different team. :)
yes for lacrosse
In womens lacrosse they dont have to where elbow pads or shoulder pads or a helmet but must where protective goggles. There is no difference in what goalies must where. Girls lacrosse sticks arent allowed to have any depth in the pocket and in mens(boys) lacrosse you can.
Yes they do the pads are located on the shoulders like football players
Yes, every level in lacrosse have to.
In Lacrosse you use a stick, consisting of two parts, the head and the shaft. You also wear protective equipment such as a Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Arm Pads, Gloves, and sometimes rib pads. Rib Pads are not required. In mens there is generally the shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, the cup, the helmet, and the stick which is either the short stick or the defensive pole. In womens the equipment is basically a stick the length of a mens short stick, optional gloves, and goggles. Both have to wear mouthguards because no one wants to lose teeth. Both have goalies that wear chest pads and helmets with thigh pads. The shin guards are preferred but are mainly up to the goalie or the coach as well as any other pads. I'm not sure about mens lacrosse but for womens all you need is an approved stick, mouthguard, and eye protection goggles. Men use helmets, gloves, elbow/arm guards/protectors, chest pads, a stick (made up of the shaft and head), a cup, and optionaly rib guards (very useful for midis and attack because you get slap and poke checked a lot). Men's and women's lacrosse require different equipment, since the rules for the sport are different.
