A yellow card is one of two differently-colored penalty cards that may be shown to a player for violation of Law 12. It is shown to a player to indicate that he has been cautioned for unsportsmanlike conduct, dissent by word or action, entering or exiting the field of play (except as part of normal play) without the referee's permission, failing to respect the required distance on a restart, delaying the restart of play, or persistent infringement of the rules. If a player accumulates two yellow cards in the same match, he is also shown a red card and sent off (ejected). In some competitions, yellow cards may accumulate and incur fines, suspensions, or other sanctions.
The yellow card will be wiped out in the quarter finals
