In netball, a direction pass is a type of pass where the player with the ball throws it to a teammate in a specific direction, typically towards the goal or into space for the receiver to move into. This pass is crucial for maintaining possession and advancing the ball up the court. The direction of the pass can be influenced by the positioning of defenders and the movement of teammates, making it an essential skill for effective teamwork.
If there was no ball it would not be called netball it would be called net
Space is crucial in netball. If the space is clogged up, you struggle to make successful leads, and it is easy for the defending tem to take intercepts. Attacking shooters will often set screens, this stops the defending from being able to contect the ball and allows the shooter to move in the space. This helps to open up the court. A specific style of defence to cut up the space is called a zone. Instead of defending on the player, you defend the space. This is to try and force the attacking team to throw across court and high balls, it is then easy for the defending team to read the ball and has time to move their feet and take intercepts. New Zealand are wll known for their use of the Zone defence.
Ball skills, hand-eye coordination, movement skills such as running, stopping, turning and dodging and aiming skills associated with passing and shooting are all very important and will developed by playing netball.
a size 4 ball is used for high 5 netball (which is what younger players play) and a size 5 ball is what is used in 7s netball which is what adults play x
Netball is a shooting game, but the question is why is netball is called netball, because in netball your throwing the ball in the net so that's called net and the ball that your playing with is called ball so that is ball Net ball

No, dribbling is not allowed in netball. Players must pass the ball to a teammate instead of dribbling it while moving. Once a player catches the ball, they must establish a pivot foot and cannot run or dribble with it. This rule is in place to maintain the game's flow and structure.
Jump when retrieving the ball.
