Double walled baseball bats consist of two thin walls within the barrel that are close to each other. These walls act as 'springs' when the ball contacts the barrel. The batted ball is supposed to travel farther and faster. These bats allow for a batter to hit the ball farther, but they are very expensive and have been known to dent after moderate usage. demarini f3 is the only one ive heard of, and it warrants researching.
Bigger barrels will cost more and weight more but they have a bigger barrel so it is easier to hit the ball. Small barrels are cheaper and much lighter but small barrel= harder to hit the ball. Another answer All depends on players preference. Big barrel bats are generally cut from lighter, dryer wood billets which are weaker and have less moisture density. Thinner barrel bats will be cut from higher density, heavier weighted billets which would offer harder, higher performing bats.
The difference is a baseball bat has a bigger barrel and its weight is different. The softball bat has a smaller barrel and can be lighter than a baseball bat with the same length. Baseball bats are also usually wooden while softball uses aluminum.
