Bigger barrels will cost more and weight more but they have a bigger barrel so it is easier to hit the ball. Small barrels are cheaper and much lighter but small barrel= harder to hit the ball.

All depends on players preference. Big barrel bats are generally cut from lighter, dryer wood billets which are weaker and have less moisture density. Thinner barrel bats will be cut from higher density, heavier weighted billets which would offer harder, higher performing bats.
