MLB Rules (1.10) states that a bat may be no more than 2 3/4 inches at its thickest part. Barrels in MLB are between 2 1/2 and 2 3/4 inches.

In a young division such as HS or MS baseball it might be from 29in. - 31in. depending on your size

MLB sizes go from 32in. - 34in.
