The difference is in the technology of designing the bat. The length, weight and barrel diameter, among other features, are the main differences. Manufacturers have determined the size and weight that are optimal for hitting a slowpitch softball versus fastpitch, and have designed them accordingly.softballpickles .com
I don't know what the "legal" umpire answer would be, but I do know that fastpitch bats are made lighter so they can be swung quicker. It seems like you would want to use a slowpitch bat in slowpitch for the extra power you would get from the extra weight of the bat. There is no rule against it as long as the bat is an approved bat in the league you are playing in, i.e. ASA, USSSA, ISA, NSA.
YES, YES, YES, YES, YES, YES, YES. You can bust your bat that way!!!!
Go with the Easton Salvo or The Demarini J2 Flyswatter. Awsome Bats.
yes, they are made differently and of different substances and could be damaged when hit
Yes, a slowpich ball is heavier. That is why a slowpitch ball makes an arch and drop straight to the ground. since fastpitch balls come in faster the bats are lighter and made to swing faster.............any other questions go to www.youbetya.com
it really depends on your governing body in usssa slowpitch you can use up to 31 ounces legally some people get by and use heavier bat but unless you are built like a gorilla a heavier bat is going to have a negative effect on your bat speed. You ideally want a medium, middle of the road bat weight of 26 to 28 ounces so you can get a quick bat onto the ball
Softball bats are designed to hit softballs. Hitting a baseball with a softball bat may damage the bat. Either hit a softball or get a baseball bat if you do not want to risk damaging your bat.
You would need a softball bat in combat if there is no other weapon available. A softball bat is useful in combat because of the length of the bat and the hardness of the bat.
Air. A softball bat is an empty cylinder.
to hit a softball.
-8 Means that it's a drop 8 bat, and that is just the difference between your length and weight of your bat.
