quad, hamsting, adducter, gluteus, lower back
Your thighs are used for jumping, spinning, and stroking.
bicep (upper arms), leg muscles, but muscles, and stomach muscles
Figrue skating is a sport that uses practically all of the bodies muscles. Of course, all of the leg muscles are used the most because of all the jumps and spins. The arm muscles are used frequently due to having to hold them up and all of the falling which a skater will put their arm out to catch themselves. Falling alone can contribute to muscular arms. The abdominals are also used in figure skating because of the spins and jumps where having a strong trunk is a necessity to be a good skater. Hope this helps!
the leg musles are used
Figure skating is one of the hardest sports around and requires exceptional skill
Who used a combination of grace who won figure skating gold medalsin the 1980s?
Your Legs and Abs are the main ones that are used
I have been a figure skater for three years and you use basicly every musle equaly its not only the legs you also use the arms, shoulders, back, stomach, and chest.
you can actually be any age. there are even infants that are in figure skating at the place i go & the one i used to go to.
Ice skates are sports equipment. They are used in hockey, figure skating and speed skating.
You definitely use your arm muscles ALOT when it comes to beam and bars. You also use your calve muscles when floor excersizes are involved. Not saying that's it, but those are the most dominant ones used.
Ice skating requires you to be very strong. Many muscles are used, i know since I am a figure skater myself. You have to have a very strong core, and....well basically a really strong upper body. Your thighs, calves, and glutes must also be strong, as well as your ankles(not a muscle but they are definitely used!). These muscles help you jump, hold you upright in the air, and keep you strong while spinning! Hope this helps. <3 :)
