Yes. It is, though, a good idea to check with your personal physician before making any major dietary or exercise changes. Women have the same bones, muscles, and connective tissues as men. They can-and should-benefit from weight training. Done with proper technique, weight training is very safe and has dozens and dozens of physiological and psychological benefits.
