16 may be a bit too old to become a professional, but if you want to dance for fun then, no 16 isnt to old!! Many people start even older than that. (Late 20+) You will have an atvantage because you're old enough to understand what your teacher will be teaching and you will be able to comprehend everything! If Ballet is what you want to do then go for it!
firs of all you need too practice then you have to get scholarships
Male, no. Female, yes.
Yea some companies have height recommendations. but if ur a good dancer it wont matter
no way, if you are good, practice heaps, and feel great while you are dancing. no way. there was a boy at our school last year and he was only 10, but his was called to join Australia's dance academy. if you want it you can get it. :) hope that helps.
You don't need a license to teach ballet. If you want to be a ballet teacher you need to have strong ballet technique, and good exprience. You need to understand that no ballet dancer should go en pointe befor teh age of 12 and what it takes to become a professional ballet dancer as many of your students may want to know this. receiving a B.F.A. in ballet for sure helps. What also helps is being a professional dancer, but this isn't required. Start out my finding a ballet school and contacting the school asking if they have jobs available. Create a good resume, too. Remember to always provide your ballet students with a challengng, but friendly atmosphere where they can improve. To be the best ballet teacher keep your dancers posted on their strengths and areas in need of improvemnet. Good luck!
It is never too late to learn ballet! :) just take classes.
If you 14 and weigh 170 pounds, then you are too old and fat to dance ballet. Overweight does not mean you cannot dance.
She wanted to be a ballet dancer, but her height didn't suit this ( she was too tall ) This is a passion from her childhood, she did ballet and her dream AS A CHILD was to be a ballet dancer. She was asked in ''Diana-her secret tapes'' what would she like to be if she wasn't the Princess of Wales, she said that she wants a public role which can bring her contact to people. I hope that my answer was good enough ! Hugs.
Ballet is still very traditional with a contemporary twist added to it. But ballet is still performed traditionally too. As a dancer I like contemporary ballet best. The basics are still used in contemporary ballet and lyrical dance. Lyrical is a much more modern version of ballet with a little bit more expression.
No, 15 isn't too old to start/re-start but its more that it is easier when you have started ballet at a young age because your body is more attuned to the physical pressures of ballet. But if you have done ballet it shouldn't be too bad and at least you'll have some sort of idea of what you are doing! :D
