Some would say yes, as your feet have not properly developed, so pointe shoes may cause harm to your feet
you are probably too young or your feet arent ready for them yet.
It entirely depends on a young girls feet. If she is wearing shoes with too low of a vamp, her ankles can be damaged.
It depends on the individual & how developed they are, but I don't think 10 is too young.

To get the sound out of pointe shoes, you must smack them very hard against the floor. This will then take most of the noise out of the pointe shoe. However, you must not give too much force or else you will snap the pointe shoe in half.
If you care for your feet and build the muscles in your feet (by doing dyna band exercises) before starting pointe you should not have a problem. However if your start pointe when you are still young it can hurt your feet. Typically pointe shoes can be worn starting around age 12.
i wanna know too! i am a dancer and am dying to get the same pointe shoes as such a historical figure in ballet!
You are never 'too heavy' for pointe. This is because you are keeping yourself up there not the shoes. The shoes help but the main thing is to have strength in your calfs and thighs as well as the ability to use the core of your body. If you can do this then you can do pointe. The best thing to do is to ask your ballet instructor if she/he thinks you are ready.
