A corner back is a defensive back. Plays on the defense team generally behind the defensive line and line backers. Corner backs generally play behind the linebackers and to the outside of the field, one on each side, and generally cover the offensive wide receivers.
You could be a running back or a defensive back, usually the shorter players play those positions in football.
