Eat healthy, exercise and run for about half an hour every 2 days. Stretch before and after. Especially before the race!!!!!

Well if it were me I would train my legs as much as I can in fact I would train the day I heard about the marathon.

One can train for sprinting by running a lot either on a treadmill or just a particular daily jogging around the neighborhood. If one is diligent, they can sprint for a period of time.

never really heard of a 1800 yard sprint; but if you are serious; an idea i have would be to begin running 2000 yards at a good slow pace; gradually working up to faster in time..
