Well it depends what sport you are talking about. Most professional sports players get paid between 1million and 2millions dollars per year.
Not as much as NBA players
they are paid 250,000 a game
Because they won't try as hard.
A professional sports team is a sports team functioning as a commercial enterprise in which players are paid to play for the entertainment of a paying audience. The offices of professional sports teams are usually in their home arenas or stadiums or in a separate building.
Probably a few Million dollars
In most Professional sports like rugby, football, basketball, tennis the players get paid And in some cases A LOT!
Professional softball players, of course, get paid. However, they do not earn nearly as much money as Major League Baseball players. The Olympic Team that will compete in Beijing this year does get paid, more than the professional softball players, but again, not as much as the average Major League Baseball player. For example, Jennie Finch drives a van, NOT a Ferrari.
I'm afraid that women rugby players do not get paid, therefore they are not professional as it seems they do not command a large enough audience. They are allowed to claim expenses but must do it for the love of the game & country.
they do
A person who is paid for their involvement in sport. This would include obviously the players, but also many officials and commentators, the groundskeepers, and several persons crucial to the running of any sports fixture.
The salary cap in professional softball keeps the range from $7000 to $17,000 per year.
That would be a great question to send off to our President. The reason NFL players get paid more is because of marketing and sponsorship of professional sports and athletes.
