I'm afraid that women Rugby players do not get paid, therefore they are not professional as it seems they do not command a large enough audience.
They are allowed to claim expenses but must do it for the love of the game & country.
At the moment, none. Rugby League Women players just begun playing rugby. Not like men, who have been playing at the start
There are about 4.5 million players registered with over 18,000 teams, leagues, and unions (junior, senior, and professional).

I don't think they earned anything. If it is like rugby league in Australia, they probably had day jobs to earn money and played football as a passion.
In a normal game of rugby union, there are fifteen players and around 5-7 reserves. The forwards are numbered 1-8 and the backs are numbered 9-15. In professional games (National sides, etc.) there are more reserves, but the game is much the same.
