Big, heavy items like a heavy, metal baseball bat. Bricks work just as well.
a baseball bat ?
A rotational hitter will hit a baseball harder with a heavier bat. This is because if they have enough bat speed, it will have a greater force pushing the baseball the other way.
When they found out that granite bats were too heavy.
There are no restrictions to the weight of a bat used by a major league batter. However, the bat may be no longer than 42 inches.
Whose bat?
Anytime that you have -2 or -any number, all it means is that you subtract that amount from the length of the bat; and it'll tell you how heavy the bat is. Let's say you have a 33" bat and it says -10, that means that the bat is 23 oz.
because if it is heavy if you have the right position, you can focus on the ball and it a grand slam.

base it off of how you like bats, if you are a contact hitter use a slightly lighter bat because if you dont need power why have a big heavy bat, if you are a power hitter use a slightly heavy bat but make sure you can swing it because no matter how good the bat is if it is too heavy you will never get a hit. pick a bat that you can swing all day. if you cant swing a lighter or heavier bat at pitches all day DONT get that bat. I made the mistake of using a bat that was too heavy for me for half my season, i was getting my fair share of hits but then i switched to a lighter bat and then i was alot better for the rest of the season instead of being 7th or 6th in the order now im 4th or 3rd. Some pitchers have intentional walked me because the bat i use is good for me, hope than helps. :)
