I am 15 years old and currently run a 4:37 mile. Although it is the best time at my school this year, Alan Webb (American mile-record holder), while a sophomore (approximately 15 years old like me) had a current personal best of 4:06! This was many years ago, and although I'm not sure if it is an American record for 15 year olds, it must be extremely close! Alan's senior year he broke the high school record for the mile run with an astonishing time of 3:53 (18 years old)! He has now improved his personal best to the American record with a time of 3:46! Talk about fast!
