I am 15 years old and currently run a 4:37 mile. Although it is the best time at my school this year, Alan Webb (American mile-record holder), while a sophomore (approximately 15 years old like me) had a current personal best of 4:06! This was many years ago, and although I'm not sure if it is an American record for 15 year olds, it must be extremely close! Alan's senior year he broke the high school record for the mile run with an astonishing time of 3:53 (18 years old)! He has now improved his personal best to the American record with a time of 3:46! Talk about fast!

The fastest mile run by a 15 year old was 4:54 by Marshall Anderson on April 15th, 2008 at Bellevue West High School. No joke. Really true. Not lying. Doesn't take steriods.
I'm not sure what the fastest time ever is, but I know that Alan Webb ran 4:06 as a sophomore in high school. that has to be pretty close.
Rheinhardt Harrison, born 2/15/04, ran a 7:20.32 at the Potomac Valley Games on 9/05/09.
