I feel it does because it helps with your coordination. My dad has coached high school and more recently youth Basketball for about 20 years, and he swears that gymnastics training helps with coordination, even if its only for a year or two. Gymnastics requires you to be athletic so most gymnasts are generally fair athletes.
Feedback is important in the sport of gymnastics because it lets an athlete know what is needed to be done to help perfect a skill or routine. Constructive criticism is always good too. A gymnast will get used to being judged and being told what needs to be fixed. If they are good listeners, this will only make them stronger. Concentration is important in the sport of gymnastics because without concentration, lack of focus will only lead to injury and a gymnast will not excel very far. Concentration is key in growing into a skilled athlete. The better the concentration, the better the gymnast.
while gymnastics can help your flexibilty there is no way of saying that it helps it more than any other sport
I think they practice.I'm not sure though. There are people who help with their diet and people who help them keep fit. they probably have someone to speek to and help them along their way as well. there are probably more but im looking for the answer to this question as well!
It helps them become a better athlete because a sports psychologist works with the athlete to set goals, works to get the athlete mentally prepared for the upcoming season, and they work with the athlete to help chart the athletes progression of skills.
Shawn can't compete in college because she is a professional athlete which means she has accepted sponsors. To be eligiable to compete in college, you need to be an ametuer athlete. Shawn had said that she wants to help out or coach part-time in college gymnastics though.

Personal training can help you become a better athlete in a lot of potential ways. Drilling will improve your ability as a player when it comes to baseball, but staying in great physical shape is essential too.
Why not both!? Dance will help you with gymnastics, and gymnastics will help you with dance! Gymnastics is more of a mental sport, and if you decide to quit once you move up levels and it gets too hard, you can always do dance! Trust me, if you want to do gymnastics, at the minimum take a few ballet classes. They will help you gain flexibility, pointed toes and straight knees as well as your artistry in gymnastics. If you have enough money, I advise you to take dance and gymnastics.
No.
I myself am an athlete, and the people that support me most are my family. They're always there for me, driving me to practices and to tournaments, etc. Without them, I'd be nowhere, and that's that. But I also have coaches that really help me and push me, and I also have teammates that drive me to become better. But definitely, it's family that really helps an athlete achieve their best.
