No, there is no rule that says you must dribble the Basketball before you can shoot it. But you may not take any steps with out dribbling the ball, if you do "travel" with the ball without dribbling the referee will whistle a penalty.

Of course not! The only thing that will affect the dribble or shot projection of the ball is based on how well you are able to handle the ball.
yes, that is perfectly legal. just don't jump to fake the shot, that would be traveling.
1. Spin basketball in hands. 2. Dribble basketball 3 times. 3. Concentrate at target. 4. Spin basketball in hands. 5. Shoot
No, you could take two steps and a hop..and it won't be traveling.
There are really three keys to the lay up shot in basketball. First, there is the dribble to the goal. Second, is the angle to the goal as the player leaves his/her feet. Finally, there is the release of the shot.
You have to run, know how to dribble, know how to shot, jump, rebound, and most important be coordinated.
That is called an assist.
yes ,it is traveling for the simple reason that your pivit foot has to stay on the ground unless you dribble ,pass ,or shoot !UNLESS, another player touches the ball to cause you to lose control, like a blocked shot, then you begin to dribble
To hold a basketball with one hand you will need your hand to be at a decent size ( for basketball that is ).Next grab the ball the same way as you will when you are preparing to shoot the ball. Extend your finger tips ( as these are what's going to help you out with holding the ball with one hand )And that's about it. A Pictorial Explanation Would Help More But I Do Not Have The Pictures . Google the triangle finger shape during preparation for a shot in basketball technique... It is exactly the picture reference that you need
== == == == A jump shot is just a shot that isn't a layup, dunk, or floater. Basically a shot at least 10ft away and requires you to jump and release with a stroke. when a person playing basketball elevates (jumps) before taking a shot<< this can sometimes improve accuracy and decrease distance from the basket. == == when a person playing basketball elevates (jumps) before taking a shot<< this can sometimes improve accuracy and decrease distance from the basket.
