A 9 iron is also commonly called a pitching wedge in golf.
There is the driver, which is the biggest club, the woods, which look similar to the driver, but are smaller, hybrids, which look like skinny woods, the irons, which are the clubs with the flat angled heads, and the putter

For definite I would suggest a 5,6,7,8 and 9 iron. These have a good bit of loft and are easy to hit. You can also have a 2,3 and 4 iron but some players favour hybrids as they are designed to be very forgiving, and are easy to hit. Wedges are similar to irons so you can have a pitching wedge, a sand wedge, gap wedge and lob wedge. But do not exceed 14 clubs.
a nibley can be a 7 - 9 iron.
A 9 iron is shorter, and has a little more added loft to it, so you can hit the green and not go over. A 7 iron is a mid iron, and is a little longer, and the loft is less than a 9 iron so you can have a little more added distance than a 9.
Golf (It is a club similar to a 9 iron)
For the average amateur golfer, the standard complement of clubs is: Driver 3 Wood 5 Wood 3 Iron or Hybrid 4 Iron or Hybrid 5 Iron or Hybrid 6 Iron 7 Iron 8 Iron 9 Iron Pitching Wedge Sand Wedge Lob Wedge Putter However, the is no "standard" set, and you may find that a Gap Wedge is more useful than a Lob Wedge (Gap is between PW and SW).
Golf is played in a golf course. A typical golf course has 18 holes, however, smaller golf courses have 9 holes as well. Championship level golf courses are known to have even 27 or 36 separate holes.
Not ideally. A 9 wood would replace a 5 iron, but could be used to replace a 6 iron if you so wanted.
