I strongly feel that we should have competitive sports taught in schools. I think this a fabulous idea because children who want to be athletes, gymnasts, footballers, etc. will have a head-start in life. Having Competitive sports taught in schools, also means that children will learn rules that will be needed in their future life, such as: showing respect, excellence, friendship, courage, determination, inspiration and equality.
Whilst competitive sports are a part of Physical Education, they also make children healthier. Children will be more healthy because they are more active than sitting down on a chair listening to the teacher. Furthermore children get more fresh air outside, this also helps them when they go to a lesson because their brain will not feel tired, which means that children will be ready for work.
Children do have break-time and lunch-time play, however when they have not got an adult telling them what to do, they will not play fairly, moreover they will not try their best to reach their standard. But, when an adult is directing children, children will play fairly and try their best to succeed.
