According to Track and Field News, the American high school record in the girls discus is 188 feet 4 inches (57.4 meters). I do not claim to be a track coach but my guess would be that an average throw would be in the 150-160 foot range.
from my experience: 1. depends on the throwers experience 2.level such as varsity or junior varsity 3. in my area average is between 90-110 feet.
AnswerWell I'm a boy and I'm 12 years old and I throw 25.72m [approx 84 feet] so a high school girl probably 35-45m
[Weights of the discus?? What weight was your discus?]
AnswerAs an experienced physical educator, may I suggest the the answer to the throwing events lies in the weight of the impliment referenced. Of even more consequence is the meaning of the word "average".
The average high school girl is not the school's representative in the event.
From my experience, a classroom of 15 or 16 year-old girls throwing [say] a .75kg discus could throw anywhere between 20 feet and 45 or 50 feet. That is assuming the school's age-level representative is not among them.
well that depends. anywhere from 80 feet to 95 feet is great any higher than that and yo should have a record id say.
ACTUALLY, IT IS TRUE THAT 80-95 IS "GREAT" BUT THE QUESTION WAS ABOUT THE AVERAGE.
THE AVERAGE JR HIGH SCHOOL GIRL THROWS THE 1 KG DISCUS (STANDARD SIZE FOR TRACK MEETS) 45-58 FEET. THE AVERAGE HIGH SCHOOL GIRL THROWS 55-66 FEET. I HAVE COACHED DISCUS FOR MANY YEARS, AND AN 80 FOOT THROW IS ALMOST ALWAYS TOP 3 OF 25 COMPETITORS. 95 WOULD ALMOST ALWAYS WIN -- AT THE VARSITY LEVEL.

There are many steps and it depends on how you want to throw the discus, it can be thrown as a power throw (the front of the ring) a south African (not a real way of throwing but can be used during practice to better technique), and a full spin. Had i had more time i would break it down.
it depends on the school or the state you are in
No one has ever throw 240 in the discus in Tennessee in fact no one has thrown over 200 feet. The TSSAA state record is held by Brett Collins of Jefferson County. 187-10 in 1987. That record my be broken this year or next several good discus throwers in Tennessee this year.
There are eight field events: high jump, pole vault, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus throw, hammer throw and javelin throw.
There is: High Jump Long Jump Triple Jump Javelin throw Shot Put Discus throw Hammer throw Pole Vault
The men's high school discus is 1.616 Kilograms, (usually displayed on the top center of discus as just 1.6K or 1.61K). This is roughly, but not exactly 3.8 poundsThe collegiate, masters (post-collegiate), and Olympic weights are all the same. It's 2K, which I'm not sure how many pounds that is. If I had to guess I'd say about 4.3 pounds.
The official weight for high school boys javelins is 800 grams.
1 KG for pre highschool, 1.6 for high school, 2kg for college (USA) In the other countries it goes like this 1 kg for everyone younger than 14, younger juniors (15,16) 1.5kg, Juniors (17,18) 1.75kg, 2kg all older than that.
8ft 2 and a half in.
The girls discus weighs 1 kilogram.
