To my knowledge the farthest thrown football was by Randall Cunningham. In a post-season friendly-shootout he heaved one 73 yards.
What I don't understand is that, atleast in Baseball, they say about 75% of pitching power is in the legs, yet jay cutler was able to throw a ball 60 yards on his knees.
Both Cutler and Flacco routinely throw for that distance (73 yards). I think Russell threw it the farthest at over 85 yards.
If the Quarterback is a passing QB like Peyton Manning or Tony Romo (even though Romo can rush pretty good), they average around 20 completions out of 27.4 passes. But when Michael Vick played, and how Vince Young plays, they average about 19 passes for 14.3 completions. Good Answer?
I’m 14, 6’0, 165, and i throw exactly 38 yards but I feel like I can throw farther with a different ball, everyone tells me it feels really heavy, before reading this i was scared I was below average but I’m right on point As a great QB with a heavy ball, if i get a different ball I’ll probably launch it 42 yards to be honest.
On average around 45 yards, if you are a good athlete you should be able to throw further i can throw 75 give or take accurately and im 13, but im the starting quarter back for my schools team so idk about you.
38 years Old
The professional life of an NFL quarterback is short. The average length of an NFL quarterback's career is only 4.4 years.
Quarterback Ken Stabler had 2,270 completions for 27,938 yards in his NFL career.
Yes, he had the most dominant season we have seen in college football in years. He threw for 2700 yards and 30 touchdowns with a 60% completion percentage. He also ran for over 1500 and 20 touchdowns, becoming the third player ever to run for 20 and throw for 20 touchdowns in a season. (Tim Tebow was before him, then Colin Kapernick also did it the same day Cam did, just a few hours earlier.) He also became the first player in SEC history to run for 1000 yards and throw for 2000 yards in a season. Then he had the best rookie season ever, at any position, throwing for over 4000 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 60% completion percentage. The 4000 yards is a record for a rookie. He also ran for over 700 yards and 15 touchdowns, with the 15 touchdowns being a record for quarterbacks, and became the first quarterback ever to run for 700 and pass for 400 yards.
Marlon Adler, a sophomore.Adler was a 4 year starter at Missouri (1982-1985). His 1983 totals were 267 rushing yards, 1603 passing yards, and 13 passing TDs and his career totals were 734 rushing yards, 5,231 passing yards and 44 passing TDs. He also led the Tigers in TDs scored in 1983 with 12 and was the punter for the Tigers during his four years there.
NFL teams average ages currently range from 24.9 years to 27.2 years. That puts the average age of an NFL player at approximately 26 years old.
Andrew Zow. Zow had 148 completions in 264 attempts for 1799 yards, 12 TDs, and 9 INTs for the 1999 Tide. Tyler Watts also saw action at QB in 1999. He completed 47 passes in 83 attempts for 498 yards, 2 TDs, and 5 INTs.
He was backup quarterback for three years before becoming the starting quarterback in 2008.
