To my knowledge the farthest thrown football was by Randall Cunningham. In a post-season friendly-shootout he heaved one 73 yards.

What I don't understand is that, atleast in Baseball, they say about 75% of pitching power is in the legs, yet jay cutler was able to throw a ball 60 yards on his knees.

Both Cutler and Flacco routinely throw for that distance (73 yards). I think Russell threw it the farthest at over 85 yards.

If the Quarterback is a passing QB like Peyton Manning or Tony Romo (even though Romo can rush pretty good), they average around 20 completions out of 27.4 passes. But when Michael Vick played, and how Vince Young plays, they average about 19 passes for 14.3 completions. Good Answer?

For the past five seasons (2003-2007), the following are a team's average passing yards for a game. This is determined by adding each team's total passing yards for the season and dividing by the total number of games played: 2007 - 214.3

2006 - 204.8

2005 - 203.5

2004 - 210.5

2003 - 200.4
