If you mean time of day, most NHL games start in the mid to late evening. However, sometimes on weekends the games can be earlier, more like 1 PM or 3 PM. In relation the the procedures at the arena, the game is officially considered "started" after the initial puck drop at center ice. However from a fan's perspective it starts about 5 minutes in, when all lines have gone out at least once and the intensity has really picked up.
