When it comes to bindings, it's all upp to personal preference. If you ride park and small mountains and things like that, your would probably want to ride flow bindings since they are quick and easy to get in and out of. If you ride huge mountains or alot of powder, you would want a brand like burton.

plastic, 6061-TC aircraft quality aluminum, blended nylon, EVA moulded pads, rubber and stainless steel.
some of these may vary between different types and brands of bindings though.
hope this helps!
they have a topsheet (usually made of fiberglass) then wood (or wood composite/honeycomb) and then another layer of fiberglass and then the base which is usally ptex (polyethylene material) which is what holds the wax. Then theres the edges which are mostly steel. they wrap the board and give it the sharp edges you need to carve in snow.
mr Burton himself comes out from the sky blesses a lump of plastic and makes your binding.. clever innit
i got some Flow M9's that i really like, they are really nice and convenient flip the highback down slip you foot in snap the back back up and carve the mountain
