In figure skating there are many jumps. These are (in order of easiest to hardest):
Three jump
Salchow
Toe Loop
Loop
Flip
Axel
This is in ladies figure skating, I'm not sure about mens or pairs

∙ 11y agoIt's a jump where you take off on an edge, instead of with the toe-pick. For example: The loop is an edge jump because it does not involve putting your toe-pick into the ice. A flip is not an edge jump, because you take off with the toe-pick in the ice.
No, a pinwheel is not a figure skating jump. It is a skating move the a group of skaters can do.

I think that there are a lot of things cool about figure skating. Figure skating is a combination of strength, muscle control, endurance, determination, and dance. In figure skating its fun to jump and get the satisfaction of a clean landing or spinning and feeling the adrenaline rush of speed.

People get points in Figure Skating depending on how difficult the jump, spin, footwork, etc. is. If it is really easy then they won't get any points. Hope that this answers your question.
A double loop is a figure skating jump in which you go into doing backwards crossovers, hook or turn your foot, jump with feet first arms second and rotate twice in the air before landing on the outside edge that you jumped off of.
