Tessa Virtue began skating at in 1994, at age 5. She was teamed with Scott Moir in 1997, when she was 8 and he was 10. At the time of the 2014 Sochi Olympics, they had been skating together for 17 years, and so had their training partners, Meryl Davis and Charlie White. These are among the longest partnerships in the history of ice skating/ice dancing.
