Because they traditionally fill their mouths with the blood of goats or virgins, but FINA has banned this practice and no longer allows ritual sacrifice before a race. Now they must make do by placing filthy pool water in their mouths before a race, to appease their dark gods. Others say it's considered good luck to take in a bit of Ryan Lochte's powerfully golden urine before the big race.
I think it is important to take a bath to clean off all the dust, sweat from body and also washing off any bacteria or germs from body. It's not only important for health reasons but also for psychological reasons. This ensures that everybody is assured that people jumping into water are clean and care for others.
This habit doesn't exist strictly among olympic swimmers; many competitive swimmers splash or feel the water before a race. Some may use the water to adjust goggles or caps, others prefer to wet themselves in order to prepare for the temperature difference (competition pools must be between 25-28 °C (77-82 °F)).
Many swimmers (in a pool) wear swimming goggles.
There were 900 pool swimmers, and 50 open water swimmers.
One reason is that tall swimmers swim a shorte distane on eah lap in a pool. A six inch difference in totalbreah with arms extended means a two foot advantage in a four lap race. Tall swimmers swim a shorter distance!
After the pool water is clean & clear..i use a half gallon in the mornin & another before bed. If you have alot of swimmers you can use 1 gal at night. :) ALWAYS check your clorine before people swim-just to be safe :).
Yes European swimmers tend to swim in the left lane :)
they swim and they swim a lot
Sperm like having a "pool" of semen in which to swim. They can swim close together but not as freely. However, less semen does not mean less sperm or less powerful swimmers.
yes all animals like water, but not to swim in, to drink. They dip their paws in water and lick them like scooping up a drink.
I would have to say the best place you could swim in would be a swimming pool with lane-lines in it so then you could do laps. I would also recommend a Olympic sized pool. Those 2 are the best places to swim in because then you wouldn't have to swim against the current and it would probably be better for all beginner/ intermediate swimmers.
They swim there. They are great swimmers.
Use a little dish soap on the pool to make the bugs leave. See earlier thread on eliminating swimmers from the pool.
Elk are very good swimmers. They are very strong swimmers too
