A supine float is floating in the water on your back with head above water.
No they do not float they sink right to the bottom so if I was you I wouldn't use them to go swimming with.
So you don't sink.

There is tug float which is getting ready to do a cannonball dive into the water.There is also jellyfish float where you bend and float while holding your knees.
