Swimmers do not have to try and swim as far as possible in a given time, but they swim a given distacne as fast as they can.
There is no official record for distance swum in a minute, however the closest world records are: 100m = 44.94s which equates to 133m in a minute 200m = 100.83s which equates to 119m in a minute I would have thought the swimming speed achieved for a a minute would be closer to the 100m time therefore I would guess a top swimmer could swim around 130m in a minute
