There is no official record for distance swum in a minute, however the closest world records are: 100m = 44.94s which equates to 133m in a minute 200m = 100.83s which equates to 119m in a minute I would have thought the swimming speed achieved for a a minute would be closer to the 100m time therefore I would guess a top swimmer could swim around 130m in a minute
black bears - up to 60 mph but grizzly bears can swim forever apparently. and they can swim for up to a minute underwater (:
Swimmers do not have to try and swim as far as possible in a given time, but they swim a given distacne as fast as they can.
It really depends on what kind of a swimmer you are. If you can swim really well, you can probably swim really far. If you can't swim at all, you won't swim very far. I hope this answers your question.
"Where did the man swim from?" is colloquially common, but in formal discourse it should be changed to "From where did the man swim?"
As far as a blue whale can swim in a year
they swim as long as they can
if you swim 100m in 60 secs then you should be able to swim 100yd(=91.44m) in 60*91.44/100=54-55sec If you swim 100yd in 1 minute you probably will be able to swim 100m in 91.44/60*100=65-66 secs. Since 100m is longer than 100yd this time will be correct provided you can swim the last 10 meters at the same speed as you swim the 100yds.
Well, I'm a high school swimmer and I've been swimming all my life. And in 1 minute, I can do 4 1/2 laps. Hopefully this helps!
why do ducks swim together in lines
a pigeon cannot swim very far it can swim approximately 20m for approximately 30 seconds (I think) :)
