Also regular prolonged exposure to the chlorine and other chemicals found in pools can deter hair growth.

Tom does not shave his legs as you can see in any of the close-up images of him. Speed through the water has no bearing on Diving.

Tom does not shave his armpits, body or legs as can be seen clearly in close-up images of him. Clearly though, he is not very hairy naturally.
