Most diving locations and resorts require you to be certified to dive. That is because they done want a bunch of dodoheads going to the hyperbaric chamber. I would recomend you get certified. It costly usually under $300. However, if you are desperate, there are some (very few) locations that will go over Scuba diving with you (not certify you) before you dive.
