The technical area should be no closer than one yard from the touch line. The bench would need to be placed farther still to prevent legs from extending into that one yard separation.

If your in good shape you should be able to bench you weight, but keep in mind that is a 15 year old that is in shape.As far as arm curls go, I would say 40lbs.
It might damage the bench, but it is far more likely that a crucible on a lab bench and not on the ring or the asbestos pad will be mistaken by someone, possible someone other than the immediate experimenter, for a cold crucible and picked up to a detrimental effect.

Yes, with a little bit of determination and workouts you can bench double your weight, though that takes some time. Get into the gym. Remember, Sleep BIG, Eat BIG, LIFT BIG. Whoever answered above is absolutely right. Almost everyone has the potential to bench their bodyweight and i would reasonably guess that almost every motivated, disciplined male can bench press twice his bodyweight eventually. There are even some prime lifters who can bench press almost 3 TIMES their own bodyweight!
