Well it all started because of the horse races in Kentucky.
It is when a race horse wins all three big races of the year. The Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes. It is all within 5 weeks and must be won back to back. These 3 races are the biggest stakes in the world. It is for 3 year old race horses.
Large races like the Kentucky Derby allows 20 horses. The average number for smaller races is 8 to 10 horses.
I believe the Kentucky Derby is run over a mile and a quarter. There are 63,360 inches in a mile - so 1.25 miles = 79,200 inches. Which is all correct but not relevant since Thoroughbred Horse races are measured in furlongs.
All of them. :)
In the Kentucky Derby -- and all thoroughbred races -- "win" in the horse that comes in first, "place" is the horse that finishes 2nd, and "show" is the horse that finishes 3rd.
You need to come first in all the Wrecking races and Destruction Bowls(Not on Championship)
Secretatriat won $ 155,050 for the kentucky Derby, $129,900 for the Preakness, and $ 90,120 for the belmont. This comes to a total of $375,070 for all three races.
They are held all over the world but the oldest one in the U.S. is the American Dog Derby held in Ashton, Idaho.

The Kentucky Derby, The Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. Only 11 horses have ever won all three.
They are referred to as the Triple Crown. If a horse wins all three races in one year, he is called the Triple Crown winner.
